We’d be grateful for feedback on your experiences at the recent parents/carers evenings. Please complete our short survey here.
Welcome to Marlcliffe governors. Marlcliffe governors pride themselves on being fully committed to ensuring Marlcliffe offers an excellent learning environment for all children. We are here to act as a ‘critical friend’ to the school. Our governing body is made up of representatives from parents, staff, the local community and from the local authority. We see our role as supporting school improvement and keeping the senior management team to account by reviewing with them the direction and progress they are making. We have regular meetings and we ensure we make frequent visits to school to experience the environment for ourselves and to get feedback from children, parents and staff. As part of this process we welcome any feedback either through written communication, or through attendance at the governors clinics, which are held during parents evenings. You can also add a comment to the blog under the ‘about’ section.
We have four main operating areas, which meet approximately once a term. These are: Teaching and Learning; Finance; Staffing and Communications. We also have a full governors meeting which is clerked by the local authority once a term.
